15 Ways to Improve Your Relationship with Money
I know. Money. The favorite family topic, just behind politics and religion.
The reality? It’s important.
Here are some ways to improve your cash flow and worry less about money.
It’s Not Always About Spending Less
Spend less and save more. Well, sure, but if spending less feels like deprivation, it’s not going to work. Think of it like dieting. If you’re torturing yourself to get a positive result, you’ll fail. Spending less must be a win-win.
Maybe you only buy things on sale or if you have a coupon. Cut back on the number of work lunches; don’t cut them out entirely. Buy a round of drinks once a month, not once a week. Mentally, you’re still rewarding yourself for living, but you’re keeping extra money in your pocket.
Be frugal. Don’t be cheap.
Ask for a Raise
We keep hearing about the great resignation. Stores and restaurants are cutting hours because there aren’t enough people to work. Who’d have imagined we’d see signs like this in 2022?
The point? Recruiting people is tough right now. Keeping people isn’t a cakewalk, either. But it costs your employer more to find someone new than to keep you on board.
